Detour In Place For I-295 Northbound On-Ramp

FALMOUTH, Maine – Motorists who utilize the Falmouth Spur northbound from the Maine Turnpike in Westbrook to I-295 in Falmouth will now utilize a short detour in order to access I-295 Northbound in Falmouth.

In order to make the I-295 Northbound Falmouth Spur on-ramp safer, crews will be lengthening the acceleration lane onto I-295 northbound. Crews must close this exit on-ramp while under construction. During construction, motorists will be directed to a ½ mile detour to I -295 Northbound that utilizes Route 1 and the Bucknam Road on-ramp.

Construction on this on-ramp is expected to last approximately 4-8 weeks, depending on the weather.
