I-295 Northbound Exit 15 To Close March 12

 

           Construction Begins On New Northbound On-Ramp

YARMOUTH. MaineDOT is reminding drivers that highway crews will install barricades at Interstate 295’s Northbound Exit 15 tomorrow signaling that improvements at this busy interchange have begun in earnest.

Closing the exit was required In order to work safely and efficiently as crews construct a new northbound on-ramp at Exit 15,

Motorists headed for U.S. Route 1 in Yarmouth are advised to leave themselves a little extra time to get to their destinations. MaineDOT recommends using I-295 Northbound Exit 10 to Bucknam Road and Route 1 in Falmouth or Exit 17 to Route 1 in Yarmouth as alternatives. Temporary traffic signals installed at those locations will ensure that motorists can safely enter and exit Route 1.

Yarmouth – MaineDOT will unveil detailed plans for the I-295 Yarmouth Exit 15, scheduled to begin in March.  Of particular interest to motorists is the temporary closing of the I-295 northbound Exit 15, alternative routes, the installation of temporary traffic lights at the Exit 10 and Exit 17 northbound off-ramps and travel safety within this vicinity.
