Gorgeous Spring Day

Gorgeous Spring Day

This was the first truly gorgeous weekend of the spring. I decided today after going out for a morning coffee that I was going to spend some time outside and NOT working in my yard. I talked to my kids and we decided to check out Bradbury Mountain and see if we could see the hawks that are being counted this time of year. Unfortunately my 11 year old daughter was no longer interested since she had decided to start working on her science fair project for 6th grade, dissolving hard candy in different liquids and recording the times. So my son and I took off for the mountain.

Greely Face off! Boys against girls!

Greely Face off! Boys against girls!

The boys and the girl's tennis team's will face off today at three O'Clock down at Valhalla, and it looks like it's going to be a great day today, and a lot of fun!

Greely Soft Ball Game

4:00 at greely middle school, the first softball game of the season starts out against Gardner Maine! Good luck rangers! From 3:00 to 6:00 pm the courts are reserved for greely tennis, and it should prove to be a great day. The feilds are still a bit soaked for games, but they should dry out over the course of the day.

Tennis Courts and Soggy Shoes

The courts down at valhalla are now all fully dried and ready to use, and the winter's been kind. Lines are easy to see, and the courts are fully servicable. If you want to play, but you're alone, the backboard is also working well. Unfortunately, some of the balls I hit may still be there...in the woods perhaps?

Other teams are still unable to play on the courts, and the gym is being used quite a lot for practices. This means that for warm-ups, it's indoor track all over again. Over the winter, indoor track takes the school by storm. People run all through the school for a certain amount of time. When training indoors, teams will run around the school as well.
