Greely Sports Outside

Greely Sports Outside

Greely once again is drowned out with tons of rain and gross weather. This is effecting sports in a bad way of course. Tennis has been inside for a long time, but today we are venturing outside to play. It's most likely not going to be a very good day, it's windy, and a bit misty, but so long as the court's aren't too bad, we should be able to play. Today's game is against Cape, starting at 3:30. Wish us luck!

Yarmouth Boat Yard Completes Falmouth Police Boat Re-Fit

Yarmouth Boat Yard recently completed the final stage of a refit to the Falmouth Police Department patrol and rescue boat. The Falmouth Police Department acquired the 2000 Ambar Marine ALSAFE 700 in 2007. The boat was in United States Coast Guard surplus and had been retired in Jonesport.

The experts in the parts and service department began by installing two new Honda outboard engines to provide better reliability and fuel economy. Next, new sponsons were installed to extend the use of the aluminum hull. The final step was to remove all of the finish coats on the boat, strip all of the systems, repair the aluminum deck and coat the hull.
