MSW Deadline Extended for Falmouth and Presque Isle

The University of Maine School of Social Work is bringing its graduate program to two additional areas of Maine. Starting in September 2012, the Master of Social Work (MSW) program will be offered in Presque Isle and Falmouth in addition to continuing its ongoing programs in Orono and Belfast.

This initiative represents the second three-site MSW program offered by the university. Using telecommunication technology, students from Presque Isle, Falmouth, and Belfast will be united for live classes. Students attend class in their own locations, while the instructors rotate through all three sites. Most classes take place on weekends and in the evening to accommodate students’ busy daytime schedules.

The first three-site MSW program, bringing together students from Calais, Belfast, and Orono, began in 2009 and culminates in 2012 at which time the new program will begin. Students enrolling in the upcoming three-site program will begin in 2012 and graduate in 2015.

The deadline for applications has been extended to March 15, 2012.
