Falmouth parents accused of allowing drinking party | News
FALMOUTH, Maine (AP) - Police have arrested two Maine parents, accusing them of hosting a party during which teenagers were drinking.
Police said homeowner Barry Spencer of Falmouth told officers on Saturday night that there was no alcohol or drugs at the party, which was attended by as many as 100 high school students. The participants included members of the Falmouth baseball and lacrosse teams were celebrating championship wins.
Police left, but say they soon pulled over a car with three drunken teenagers in the back seat. Officers went back to the house and said they found evidence of minors drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.
Spencer and his wife, Paula, are facing charges of furnishing a party for minors to consume alcohol. It wasn't immediately known if they had a lawyer.
