Public Baked Bean Supper - Yarmouth

The Triangle Club of Casco Lodge #36 A.F. & A. M. Yarmouth will hold a Baked Bean supper on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the dining hall 20 Mill Street, Yarmouth.  Three kinds of beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, hot biscuits, macroni & cheese and homemade pie will be served.  Adults $8,00, children 5-12, $5.00 and children 5 & younger, free.  For more information, call Raymond McLellan at 846-4724.

All are welcome to help us celebrate our 45th Anniversary as many native Falmouth residents narrate their memories of growing up in town.  You’ll be able to sit back, close your eyes and be transported back to quieter times as this community was transformed to its present day. Public Baked Bean Supper - Yarmouth

A public baked bean and macaroni & cheese supper will be held from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the First Parish Congregational Church, 116 Main Street in Yarmouth.  Featured are three types of beans, cole slaw, mararoni & cheese, hot dogs, homemade pies and biscuits, beverages.  Adults $7.00 and children $3.00.  For more information call Sally Grover at 846-5894.

Easy Family Hike scheduled for April 16 at Wolfe's Neck

A Family Guide to Supporting a Loved One
Scarborough, ME – Hospice of Southern Maine and the Alzheimer’s Association will present several workshops across southern Maine to help families cope with and support a loved one dealing with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The 90-minute workshop will be presented by Carol Palmer, an RN and program director with the Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.  Ms. Palmer, a former trauma nurse, hospice nurse and lead nurse for the office of adults with mental illnesses also served as a director of forensics and is a Viet Nam era veteran. She has been providing training about dementia and related conditions and behaviors for nearly ten years.
The workshops are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
