Movies: "Transformers: Dark of the Moon"

“Transformers: Dark of the Moon” is a tender love story involving young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his statuesque girlfriend Carly (British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, replacing Megan Fox in the series because Fox injudiciously compared director Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler).  Poor Sam has trouble finding work in Washington, even though he saved the world in two previous “Transformers” installments, and his hyper-critical parents are coming to visit.

Oh, wait, there are some giant robots involved as well.  The Autobots are the good ones, the Decepticons not so much.

Pam Smart was a really bad teacher.  In 1990, she seduced one of her New Hampshire students, age 15, and got him to murder her husband.  That’s bad.  By contrast, Elizabeth Halsey, the character played by Cameron Diaz in this new movie, is just semi-bad:  she smokes dope, drinks heavily and does all she can to avoid any actual work in her middle school classroom.

Movies: "The Tree of Life"

There are dinosaurs in this movie, and a series of breathtaking space visuals, but this is about as far from a summer sci-fi blockbuster as you can get.

Written and directed by the reclusive Terrence Malick (he wouldn’t even appear to accept his best picture award at the Cannes Film Festival), “The Tree of Life” is a deeply serious exploration of one Texas family whose personal tragedy evokes all humanity’s abiding questions about God’s will.

Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy

"Wholeness or health is our natural state. The nature of healing involves removing obstructions to this natural state and bringing individuals into alignment with themselves and their world. Free of these obstructions, an individual's innate intelligence and self-regulating capabilties will guide him toward a state of well being." — Richard Carlson, Ph.D.

Polarity Therapy is a whole-health system developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, D.O., D.C., N.D. Dr. Stone felt that something was "missing" in traditional western medicine and wanted to explore what this was.  He spent nearly 50 years seeking via different medical practices, healing techniques, exercise systems, and cultures with other health related philosophies. The "missing piece" he discovered, was an awareness of energy in the body.
