Town of Freeport - Dog Registration for 2011

December 31, 2010

It’s time to renew your dog’s registration. The State of Maine requires all dogs 6 months or older to be registered in the community of residence. The registration is for the calendar year and expires on Dec. 31st.

• Spayed/neutered dog: $6.00
• Un-neutered dog: $11.00

You may register your dog at Town Hall during business hours.
Make sure that you bring your current rabies certificate. If this is a new registration and the dog has been neutered, you must also bring the dog’s Certificate of Neutering.

You may also register on-line at the following state website.

Another option is to register by mail. Send the current rabies certificate and a check made to the Town of Freeport for the registration fee. Mail to: Town Clerk’s Office, 30 Main St., Freeport, ME 04032.

LATE FEE: We are required to charge a late fee of $25 in addition to the registration fee after Jan. 31st.

Please call the Town Clerk’s office (865-4743, ext. 122 or 123) if you have any questions or you no longer have the dog that you registered with us last year.
